Homemade Sodas and More
August 8, 2012

This workshop focuses on home brewed sodas and traditional tonic beverages. We will make a homemade rootbeer and ginger ale and discuss how to make your own sodas from seasonal and perhaps unexpected ingredients. You will be able to create your own gourmet small batches of soda with the information from this workshop and control the amount of sugar you use.

We will sample and discuss other traditional tonic beverages such as kvass (a traditional iconic Russian/Eastern European beverage), sweet potato fly (a traditional South American tonic beverage), shrub (a sweet and sour beverage popular in the 19th century), and vinegar.

Attendees will take home two swing top bottles - one each of rootbeer and ginger ale to finish at home and recipes for sodas and sampled beverages.

All recipes are gluten free.

Please reserve your spot by Monday August 6th to be sure there are enough bottles for everyone. Because of the workshop materials the workshop fee is not refundable, but it is transferrable.
